The DA40 is purposefully built for high altitude operations. The turbocharger allows the airplane to maintain maximum power at high altitudes while the wing design provides a very stable and high glide ratio performance. Each DA40 is equipped with a fully integrated G1000 NXi flight deck featuring the cutting-edge GFC700 Automatic Flight Control System, delivering outstanding situational awareness, convenience, and safety for pilots.

At Aspen Flight Academy, we’re proud to fly brand-new Diamond DA40NG aircraft — cutting-edge trainers loaded with the latest technology, including Garmin G1000 NXi, ADS-B In/Out, XM Weather, Jeppesen ChartView, live synthetic terrain, full autopilot, and a sleek three-blade MT performance prop, all designed to deliver an unmatched flying experience.
Overnight flight fees are subject to a four-hour minimum rental charge per day, are not to exceed 4 consecutive days, and must be approved by AHLFA in advance.
No show charges — If a pilot schedules the use of an aircraft, simulator, or ground instruction, and does not cancel the scheduled time at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled time of use, the pilot will be charged for half the anticipated time of use.
